Default AU vs BA kerb weight

I’ve been looking at AU and BA XR6’s and there seems to be a massive difference in kerb weight about 200kg other than DOHC what made BA’s weigh so much more

Alot stronger Chassis, independent rear suspension.

Control blade IRS was actually 20kg lighter than the double wishbone AU IRS. But heavier than the live axle AU obviously.
