Default AU XR6 Live Diff question...

I found this on Ebay and was wondering if its a good bases to do a rebuild upon... 3.0:1 ratio gears makes no sense to me as a XR6... as i was lead to beleive they are 3.45:1 (from memory)...

Also, is there anyone willing to pick it up for me until i can come get it? thats if i bid and win it...

Ebay Link

The fella must be assuming what ratio it is..

Ive shopped around with diff joints and got quotes of 300 bux or so for diff's in better condition in that and dont even need rebuilds...

Are those diffs full units like in the ebay link, or are they just centres?

on another note. would this diff still be suitable as it is set up for leaf springs? or are you just gonna use all the guts out of it and use your housing?

you've got a fairmont haven't you? do they have 3.08 or 3.23 from factory? if you're not sure, just go to ford and get the speedo sensor for an xr

I thought the Fairmonts had a slightly shorter ratio than the Falcon to compensate for the increased weight. Basically to try and get it to take off as fast as the Falcon, even though its heavier.

Sure its not the 3.23?
