I went out to heathcote today to get some practise for next week and to see if anything would cause me any troubles.
My first few runs saw me running mid 12's, I ran a couple of 13's due to wheelspin and an overboosting problem causing the car to drop off boost for a little bit. I ran a 12.06 about halfway through and was shattered I was so close to 11's but not there. They anounced there was 10 minutes before the lunch break so I went up again and did 2 runs. The first run resulted in wheelspin and a 2.3 60' time. The second was much better with a 1.76 60' resulting in an 11.81 at 120 mph :jab: I was running MT ET Street radials and cut a 1.76 60 footer! I have never been in a car that launches so hard. Its an awesome feeling! Bring on the AFF drag day!

Awesome stuff indeed, well done putting all that power to the track and getting that sort of a 1/4 mile time out of it.

Cobra- I did buy HOTDBZ, Ive had a few tweaks made in the form of stronger valve springs and a decent boost controller, the setup before left something to be desired. : Future plans are to race it some more, maybe get a bigger intercooler. We will see how we go. Thanks for all the comments guys.

That's awesome news Dan! Well done! That 60ft is great, it must be quite a feeling to be in a car that launches that hard. I'm spewing I didn't head along to Heathcote today, it would've been great to watch.

A bigger cooler and piping would help IMO, maybe a nice new intake manifold. I just want to race it more at the moment. The tyres I was using were pretty good. I was launching on about 6psi and they were holding traction nicely! I only got massive wheelspin once but I think there was something on the track. I launched exactly the same 2 minutes after in the different lane and ran the 1.76-60 and 11.81. Then it rained! :( So there might be a bit more in it yet!

Start on a higher tyre pressure work your way down until you have a good psi for a luanch. full drag slicks run 6 psi.

I have a few things to sort out before saturday but I cant wait to go again! I blew the bolts out of my BOV so it came off on the way home and I need to change my breather hoses. My sump got pressurised and blew heaps of oil out of the catch can into my intake pipe.
