Whoosha is spot on.. I've noticed that myself..
What about meet at bundoora park at 1030, then at around 1130 start cooking a bbq. Then sit around til 1.30 eating/talking etc, then take off for a nice cruise through king lake or something like that ( a mountain drive) then to a lookout somewhere for pics, then a big cruise back home..??
That will just about fill a whole day..

Hanging rock may still be an option too..

Thoughts...??

We could even drive from Bundoora to St Andrews to King Lake (stop at King Lake for coffee/drinks/snacks etc) then to Healesville, stopping at Maroondah Reservoir for pics. Then either take Maroondah Hwy back to civilisation or just depart for home from Healesville...

Thoughts???

I do have to admit, I do prefer those two options to Hanging Rock...IMO.

and finally kristo joins back in ahahha and with massive results, see im from no where near melb so i dont know times/lenths etc.

personaly not fussed where we go sso any place is awsome as long as we have a BBQ, carpark and a trun out im easly pleased

i like the sound of this location you went to last time, people seem to recommend it so lets do that

i cant get my hands on the meat, benafits of working at an Abitour so if we can work out what we may roughly need i can just do a decent order and go freeze it all till the day or night before

And although there's free bbqs there, we'll need someone with a ute to bring another as I'm sure the turnout will be great.

Ok, so lets make a set date...
How does mid to late September sound..?
I think there will be plenty of BBQ's there GK, but, If anyone wants to bring more, then I'd say they're more than welcome to..

Now, In regards to meat, I think we should each bring our own food and drink as people's dietary requirements may be different..

I'll get a map up of the route we will take..

Also, I'm very flat out at work at the moment and I don't even know if I will be able to make the BBQ/cruise at all yet, so I'll play it all by ear..

I don't mind helping out with the organising it, unless Brad' would like to have a turn at organising an aufalcon.com meet.. What do you think Brad'..? You wanna have a shot..?

Cheers

Argh at the moment neither is good for me lol :-(
Perhaps the 25th if I can get the job all done on the 24th, but it's not likely to be honest...

Guys, I'm going through a family thing at the moment yet again..!
In late Feb of this year I lost my Grandfather (dad's dad).. Was very sudden and unexpected.
Last night we were told that my other Grandfather (mum's dad) only has a few days left..
Great 2011 hey..!!

I have to pull out from organising this meet/cruise.. Sorry guys..
Hopefully someone can take over organising a date, cruise map and sorting out the meet/bbq.. (GK, Brad'.. one of you wanna have a shot..?)

Again, sorry guys, but it's just not a good year...

Cheers
Kris
