Default Wild engine conversions

AMC owners like me are in constant fear of cars being converted to "Chev powered" (although I think I've actually seen more Ford-powered Honets than anything). Anyway came across this picture on an AMC forum of one of a wildest (weirdest) engine conversions I've seen - *IF* it's real. Apparently the photo was taken in 1968 (looking at the date on it) and based on the flat grille I think this is a 1967 Camaro:

Unfortunately no, it's not a flathead Ford .. supposedly it's a Caddy 346.

I remember photos in magazines when I was a kid of stuff like first generation Firebird powered by a 202 Holden during the 80's "gas crisis". Speaking of gas crisis conversions heres a 1969 Dodge Polara convertible in Europe somewhere:

.. with a Volvo 4-cylinder engine installed ..

Anyone else got anymore weird and wonderful conversions?

Now that IS a "Crime Against a Mopar"! At Nambour swap a few weeks a go i saw the best ever "pay-back", Chev Roadster hot rod, powered by a big block Mopar! Makes a change from a "belly-button" engine. ("Everyones got one"

Have a search on the web for classic cars in Cuba - Since the embargos in the 50's, they did whatever they could to keep 50's American cars running, so there's Buicks, tri-five Chevs, old Caddillacs, all running weird combinations of eastern European diesel motors.
