Default Ba Drag Wars!!!!

It would seem that the BA drag war ,EAST V's WEST has come to a grinding halt.No-one has been out to try and better there own P.B or crack a twelve in a UNOPENED GT. :

Come on guy's,im out for a bit now so can't rely on me,must be someother punters ready for a crack, maybe some new blood.

"And no chris that doesn't mean you with your REBUILT BOSS" :Up_to_som

aaaaah, the fish has taken the bait!!!!!!

For BA drag wars to continue, I will be campaigning 2 unopened 260 manual cars, just for giggles :

For the record, I did beg "The Don" not to proceed with the heads, as his car has enough grunt already (and could do with nitto's, better driveshafts, tailshaft etc)

But he is one insistent man, so my easter will be spent throwing these heads on!!

Hey Chris what work is going itno the 26o's. I'd like to see the gains those ported heads will make, can only imagine picking up the drivline after the first test drive. These things can manage to break themselfs letalone with over 3oorwkw

Well being in Adelaide I'm stuck in the middle so I feel a bit like Switzerland.....

XR8888 is back out again on 2/4 with a new Mal Wood clutch and revised CAI so we will see how we go. :

Hey guys, I would love to be out there trying to even crack a 12 in my ute, has the mph to do it but I'm always wary of not having a car if something goes pop shebang on the track, particlularly since I'm using it for work now and paying off a mortgage.

Dont think it'll go faster in current spec, needs a better clutch kit for starters.....but will be having some fun at heathcote in a couple of weeks, 1st time in about 6 months or so!

No worries mate....I'm sure that you can't do too much damage in 400 meters :

New clutch goes in this week so at least that won't (shouldn't) break.

Brad

Just keep an eye on Rodderz as he has been known to play with the handbrake if he thinks it is a bit quicker than his hay hauler. LOL

Cheers Ray.

Cool Drags

There's plenty of Sydneysiders cracking their neck to get to WSID, the weather has caused it to cancel many events. I was hanging out to get there this past Wednesday, the meeting was cancelled. It looks like I can't make this Wednesday due to work activities. The Ford v Holden has been changed to next Saturday now, that stinks for me!

Yes, I think Ray or your good self could only answer if OFR members sanction the turning of the odometer 1/8th at a time?

They were great to watch, so many old muscle cars just roar power and big carburettors..
400 meters would have made it so much better..
yes OFR wont sanction 200 meters events..
an Auto Boss 1st gear dont wind out until the 200 meter mark..lol..

Someone tell me how more than 70% of this thread is utter crap and does not relate to the initial question?

Personally I think the challenge, better called than wars, can only be a good thing to get the most out of the cars, tuners and products

Just good to see that there is still some interest, its all gone a bit quiet after the week in week out relentless attack of the low ET's. :
