My TDCI finally arrived...YAY!

Hey all,

Just picked up the car, got the 07 TDCI, in Titanium with the 17inch Zetec wheels. Looks great, drives even better...

Very happy camper, pics below.

The poor bloke who had the car before me, didnt realise why he could never manage to get the fuel economy below 6.5 L /100km.

Funny because nobody ever told him to reset the trip computer on it, as soon as I did that it was back down to 4.7 / 5.5 L /100 km. So basically 6.5L / 100 km was the average economy for the first 8000 kms of driving...interesting to note the average over such a long period.

Love the car, we should organise cruises or something?

actually I think the fuel average is only the last 1000 km, in the manual somewhere from memory.

He was selling due to wanting to finance his new investment property.

He invested in property, the way I look at it I invested in a car

Picked it up dirt cheap, 24k and it only had 8000 kms on it! Crazy! Had the alloys, reverse sensors, scuff plates and 6 year warranty.

We drove it up to Lorne today, i couldnt believe how well this thing drives, it just feels like a really solid car. Its so funny to hear the turbo chirping haha

That price is an absolute bargain! Especially with all those options, now all you need is a bodykit

Everyone who has driven my car has been blown away by how it performs, it really is a little beast.

aggree 100% with the drive, I still cant get over how good it is.

The mrs took it for a drive down to the Black Spur in Victoria, and the Great ocean road the next day - it jus stayed in 3rd gear the whole way through pulling and pulling and pulling... (the engine just wants to keep going).

why are people still bothering with rubbish petrol engines?
after 3 days im a complete diesel convert!

The LS Zetec rims are an option on the current LT series.

Nice pick up for 24K man. Those rims look sweet, suits the car real well.

It would be interesting to see what sort of driving gave it an avg of 6.5L/100km. Mine averages 5.0L fairly constantly (drops and picks up depending on where abouts on the trip I am on). I'll put up details of fuel figures I've gotten one day

i also fell in love with it as soon as i saw it, i still cant get over how well it drives.
Rims were just a bonus, they match really well with the metal brush look scuff plates.

Im averaging about 6L / 100KM at the moment, but im almost certain im driving this car a fair bit harder than its previous owner, i really love the torquey drive..!
