I just took out both of The Darkness' albums, they will go back in soon. Bloody awesome albums, pity about the coke issue.

4, eagles (hell frezes over)

5, skyhooks (numerous)

6, lots of beach boys

i cant work out why no one likes music on when in my cars? i must need better speakers. it gets even worse in the fairlane as it only has AM radio and an 8 track player, my wife bought a cd player for it but i refuse to put it in.

I have a LOT of compilations in my car, but I try keep my compilations to similar styles of music, or a compilation of songs by one artist.

When it comes to albums:

Pink Floyd - Pulse, Delicate Sound of Thunder, The Wall, The Film (audio from The Wall movie).
Roger Waters - Amused to Death, Radio KAOS, In The Flesh
U2 - Vertigo Live & ZooTV live (Audio lifted from DVDs)
David Bowie - The Rise And Fall of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars
The Beatles - Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band & Abbey Road
Redgum - Caught In The Act
Pinback - Blue Screen Life & Summer in Abaddon
Poets Of The Fall - Signs of Life
Avenue Q - Original Broadway Musical Soundtrack
Captain Dan & The Scurvy Crew - Authentic Pirate HipHop

They're pretty well the main ones that I have the entire album of in the car, like I said the rest are mainly compilations.

Looking at my list, its no wonder people I know say I was born in the wrong decade (was born in 1980, with my musical taste I probably should have been born in 1970 to enjoy it more!).

I used to listen to Metallica-Black album but yeah kind of influences your driving habit :

I have a mixture of songs and don't listen to completer albums really.

Yeah you're right....I was born in 62 and Bowie is more my era. Think i was 12 when Rise & Fall of Ziggy was released (beatles everyones era though)

You were'nt born when Floyds The Wall came out in 1979 (the year I bought my first car aged 16 - a TC Cortina lol)...Fantastic album that and still as fresh today as when it came out ....A tough call but better than Dark Side IMO

OMG How the hell did I forget that I have a BUNCH of Leonard Cohen in my car, in the forms of Albums & Compilations!!!

Main one I listen to from him is the 1994 album "The Future".

As well as the soundtrack to "Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man" which was where a bunch of artists covered various Leonard Cohen songs, including Leonard singing his classic "Tower Of Song" with U2.

Music i listen to when i drive is usually no different to what i listen to any other time.

In my stacker is Frogstomp from Silverchair, Blood Sugar Sex Magik by Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The New Normal by COG, S.C.I.E.N.C.E from Incubus and Black Fingernails Red Wine from Eskimo Joe.

Always have an Incubus and RHCP CD in the stacker, gets changed reasonably often as i have every album from both. Other albums get changed whenever also got over 10,000 songs on my ipod with an FM transmitter if I'm in the mood for something else.

Smashing Pumpkins albums (all of them) are never too far away from the CD player, Nirvana Greatest hits gets a fair run, The Killers - Sams Town gets heard a bit but atm the Transformers soundtrack is in there and it is awesome.
