Arrow Crazy Electronic short in ma 83 TX5

Hey all.
Get this... ma battery goes flat all the time, I think she charges at about 12 volts but like it always goes flat & when I turn my headlights on only 1 light comes on but then if I put my left indicator on they both go into high beem,,,, prolly take it to an auto electrician...
I have a book But if any of you guys know where I could stick a multi meter be much appreciated.

the regulator on the alternator needs replacing
thats a DIY if it is an external regulator two screws and 2 wires

should put in 13. plus volts

the muti meter on volts goes on each pole of the battery + to +
....- to - rev engine up to check alternator input
