Sweet, I hope to get an AU engine too, mine already blows enough blue smoke in the mornings, however it clears up once I just get down the road.

You'll love the new motor tho, so much stronger, tighter and smoother!

Why didnt you opt for a BA engine conversion if you are going to go through all the trouble?

cause they don't fit under the bonnet the DOHC is too tall and it pokes out the bonnet. not to mention the only after market ecu to get it to work is a motec and that is $$ also to run the factory ecu you need the BCM and cluster or it wont work.. looms don't fit up etc etc massive job i have thought about it... as you can tell

OK THE DAY HAS FINALLY COME:

over the last week and i half my car has been at C.G Automotive Repairs getting some work done.

firstly i decided not to go with the au engine. secondly i didnt get an au head.
i decided to keep the eb engine and give the head a reco with some added goodies

parts list: (all installed)

exhaust port and polish
head bolts
crow cam - 222825
xr6 valve springs
welsh plug replacement
oil pressure sender
thermostat and gasket
replacement water pump
coolant
au head gasket
rubber rocker cover gasket
thermo fans
davis craig temp switch

to come: (near future)

power steering and idle pully replacement
adjustable cam gear
timing chain
dyno tune
exhaust tip

to come: (long term)

fix up body (scratches and dints)
paint rocker cover same colour as car
driveline upgrade (hi-stall, electronic shift kit, lsd)

i would take a picture but there really isnt anything to see.

thanks all for waiting lol.
matt

i just got it changed to a normal eb one just incase it was leaking (just to ensure the loss of water wasnt from just the head gasket.

im also attempting to make myself an electronic shift kit and removing the volt gauge i have in my dash.

probably not the best time to be doing these things during show season but i have a bit of time to do it and the weather is nice and it is daylight till 8.30.
