Had a massive cruise up here yesterday, 19 XR5's, 8 RS' and a cpl of XR4's
Heres my car with my mate RS at Tamborine..... i really want an RS, if not a Quaife. The people that rag on the RS being over priced need to go for a run in one and see and hear them go with a nice exhaust its a noise you need to here.

And heres the gang that attended

I tell you what, those late model Focus's look the goods. Sure the RS is exy by most budgets, but I bet its one of the best FWD handling cars on the market.

so how long will it be before there's an RS in your garage?
There's a white one I see most mornings heading from the city to the northside, looks pretty tough on the road

If i get an RS, ill be single and eating noodles , i really shouldnt hang around guys that own em. When its time to upgrade in 12-18mths time i will consider one.
Shav, yeah they really well sorted thats for sure, but with a Quaife fitted to an XR5 they are pretty bloody good aswell.

Bought some of these today (Axle Bolts)

They are from a Volvo XC90 and they stop the driveline 'click. Ive had the Ford fix (Loctite applied) Seems to have fixed mine, but many others it hasnt so i purchased a set anyway.

DJM83, tell me more about the Axle Bolts. I hate the Focus driveline click / clunk. I understand that not every car has it but mine certainly does.

Will those bolts fit all models?

Shed loads mate, a lot better mid range power (This intake was designed for my tune, same company)
Feather the throttle and you get a nice turbo whine, lay the boot in and theres no hesitation compared to the old intake and it revs a lot smoother (open pod behind fog light)

That's good to hear. I've often been skeptical of aftermarket CAI's but if you have found significant improvements worth mentioning it goes to show the marked improvements a mod like this has with your car.

Have timed yourself in a 0-100kph sprint before and after?

Yeah me to, ive had an aftermarket one on since just after i purchased. This one is much better, but in driving rain at 100kph it can get a tiny bit wet (Im thinking of putting the air deflectors for the factory I/C back in). This intake was designed for my tune and if you look at an RS this is almost identical in design with the top pipe.

I never timed it, but i think im going to have to try with this intake now. Also need to get it on the dyno again as a few changes have been made since it last went on.
