Default ea window winder

just trying to repair the drivers side window winder on my ea falcon.
do you have to break the rivets of this to get it out?

the winder handle spindle seems to be slipping in the winder mechanism the winow will wind down but not up. just trying to pull the whole mechanism out.

Yeah you'll have to screw the rivets out to get the mechanism out.
