Question Fuel Sender Card

Having problems that sound suspiciously like the fuel sender card with our 2004 model Focus.

Took it to the dealer, (still under warranty) and they found nothing wrong because the fuel gauge had risen and so didn't replace anything and said that the Technical Service Bulletin is for an earlier model.

Considering that the threads on this issue were last in 03/06 I was wondering if anyone has had problems on the later models and if the TSB still applies.

This is the 3rd time it has happened (55k) and the car has stopped because the tank was on empty when it was filled and hadn't registered on the gauge.

Any suggestions or answers much appreciated.

God knows, he never replied when we were all begging for the parts. For crying out loud I even managed to sell my car without hearing a word.

Sounds about as business minded as that clown from Infocus Motorsport. Dozens of Focus owners beating down your door for parts, expertise and assistance and you ignore every single one of them... yet your business is selling Focus parts. What a .

As an aside, my sender card was replaced after the fuel guage died once only. Dealer did it as a precaution as back then they were commonplace. If it has happened 3 times, time to take it to another Dealer methinks.

Had the car at the dealers when the guage was incorrectly registering and it was checked out and the fault, according to Ford, is in the instrument cluster.

A new cluster is being fitted under warranty today. (2 months left)
Hopefully this will rectify the problem.

Well a few people have had faulty clusters. So it would've been the send or the cluster. In the end it was ur cluster. My cluster is a bit dodgy itself but I will let it be
