Default Trouble reading oil level

Hi all,
I have a KQ xri 2.0 auto 2002 model laser. I think it has an FS02 engine. Trouble is, I can't read the oil level. I have tried both cold and hot but the oil is very thin (by a Ford dealer) and all I get is oil all the way up the stick to the spring with no discernible level visible. On all my other cars it has been really easy to tell. I have even left the dipstick out overnight and tried it first thing, when hot, 15 minutes after stopping and turning it 180 degrees. Gas station attendants can't read it either. Could I have the wrong dipstick, is there a fault with these or could oil somehow be getting caught in the dipstick tube? It is really annoying me as it is a great car and I wouldn't want anything to happen to the engine because the oil level wasn't topped up or topped up too much. It is serviced every 10000kms and due for one soon so I will ask then. Can anyone help me?
Thanks
:

You should read the oil level with the engine cold not hot. If it still seems to leave no level then I'd lightly sandpaper one side of the stick to roughen up the surface so the oil stays on the dipstick. If its highly polished the oil will quickly run off.
