Default Re: Qld legal Aid lawyer are any good ?

You get what you pay for.
I got legal aid for my daughter when she got a speeding ticket with double demerits on her red Ps. it was a minor infraction which would have meant automatic loss of license, was going to Uni and had 3 jobs, needed her license bad, (yes I know shouldn't have been speeding).
Anyway, challenged it in court, got a newby, no idea.
The challenge was why not a juvenile caution, admitted the offence.
I had to do everything and we won it, lawyer even said after "I never knew that".
Made a donation to a charity for the amount of the fine and kept her license.

Sorry bit off track, but my point is, if you can afford one, then hire one.
