Default Forum upgrade

Good morning

We have performed an upgrade this morning of the core forum software.

There are a few little things to tidy up (icons, templates) but most functions seem to be working as normal. The rest will be tidied up during the day.

The main changes that will impact users are:

Tapatalk integration (finally)

- a multi-quote system - turned on to replace our previous hack
- an infractions system - turned off as our current warning system is better
- the ability to automatically post threads and announcements from RSS feeds - turned off - an inline spam management & prevention system - turned on
- thread tagging and tag cloud - turned off temporarily
- thread prefixes - turned off
- reciprocal friendship between users - turned on
- public visitor messaging on user profile pages - turned off
- user picture albums - turned off as the gallery is better
- user-created social groups - turned off
- user-customisable profile pages - turned on for some user groups
- a lightbox viewer for images attached to posts - turned on
- post edit history - turned on
- a notices system - turned on as a replacement for the force read hack
- multiple human verification systems - turned on for unregistered
- images in sigs - turned on currently for DM's, Mods, Admins
- private message sorting and filtering options - turned on
- private message history - turned on
- a private message quick reply box - turned on
- private message throttling - turned on for some groups
- private message reporting - turned on
- profile privacy - turned on for some groups
- lightbox navigation - turned on
- thread prefix permissions - turned off
- dismissible notices - turned on

If you identify anything that you think is working incorrectly, please let us know in this thread.

Cheers
Russ

sorry Russ, sent you a pm before seeing this thread.

as mentioned, there is the 'thanks' info in the left pane.

also, the main page has a lot of locked symbals (instead of the traffic lights)

your 1st post says '1 user likes this post' and yet there is no user listed...

Hi Russ,
Great job.

As mentioned. Looks like the traffic light icons for the forums need looking at.
View thread shows a series of dashes next to the post number.

I was seeing padlocks everywhere until I cleared out my cache. There are only three left on the front page now. Good work Russ. And yes the signature pic upload works. (I borrowed one of Wulos's designs to check)

Hi. All seems to have gone well, great that I now have "quick links" in the header bar when using google chrome. How did you go sorting out the "busg" and "perofrming" issues. The little blue arrow that shows if you have posted on a thread is missing at the moment but I presume it will be turned on again after your well earned rest. Congratulations on a successful migration. Cheers MD

also when yo quote someone, there is a little arrow after their name which says 'view post' if you hover the mouse over it. bit strange, as it doesn't do anything even if you click on it, except take you to where you already are.

The little blue arrows in the quote are working. If you go to post 8 and click on the quoted blue button, it takes you to Post 5 which is the quoted post.

Greetings

We appear to have lost a whole section. I cannot remember what it was called (probably the fading memory section) but it dealt with stories from the past etc and possibly subscriptions, administration, memories.
