Well SE QLD has been given the news of the level 5 water restrictions the other day and what they entail. I have been wondering since I heard that cars cannot be washed at home if anyone has used the waterless washes either by someone coming out to do it or buying the product from one of the auto places? and if so what is it like eg: good job/bad job and would you use it again?
I think that you can take your car to a car wash but it's still pretty expensive and only going to get worse. |

Just go to the car wash places. There is one on Logan road near Mt. Gravatt, and on on the western service road across from the hyperdome. You do it yourself, and if your quick enough (or do it often enough) you can do it for about $4 which gives you 6.5 minutes. Then chamois the car, and I use Mequiars quick wax once the car is dry. Always works a treat, its inexpensive, and after 17 months of washing my car at these places, I have never done any damage to my car. I always pressure hose the brush before letting it touch my car though, I dont want it to get Holden Germs.
This is what my car looks like when I finished washing it as described yesterday.

Detailers Pride Rinseless Wash & Quick & Easy Wash both work excellent & only use 4 litres of water, I find them much safer to use then car wash places or sprays.

I read this the other day, when they say can not be washed at home, i am guessing using mains water and your own tank water has no impact on this rule ? |

yes of course you can use tank water if you are lucky enough to have it. what I was asking is if anyone has used the waterless stuff to clean a car with and how good is it does it leave scratches or whatever.
