Not sure why Frankston or its reputation gets credit here for a sticker on a windscreen, thats owned by a p-plater who may not have much money for a nice car which is parked outside the front doors of Frankston TAFE.

Ha ha, my grandfather had that same car but a wagon. I stayed in Frankston once and I thought it was a nice quiet bayside town with a jetty where you could fish from or watch the sunset over Port Phillip Bay! I even ate at Foodstar and survived, LOL. When you've lived in Blacktown for a while, anywhere with a beach and water is nice.

How about everyone jumps to conclusions?

I'm at uni, I work hard, and I get aus study. Does that mean I'm a dole bludger or work bludger?

This car is parked outside Chisolm tafe in frankston.

It's probably some 20 year old's car who thought it would get a laugh from his/her mates.

Everyone loves to jump on their soap box around here..

You live in Australia, and if you don't like it, go somewhere else.

I could liken your comments to that of a terrorist. You are threatening our way of life. If the government didn't take taxes from you to help young people study, or to help people find jobs, then who are you going to find to do your taxes? Who's going to manage our businesses, and take Australia into the future?

Our society is democratic. We have a lot of advantages over other countries, and one of them is equality. Without it, Australia would not be where it is today.

Well said Yaggy

Centrelink got me through my final six months of uni when working 20 hours over the weekends (on top of full time uni during the weekdays) became too much. 4.5 years of doing 7-days-a-week work/uni had taken its toll on me, and having two final year projects to do on top of my regular classes forced me to quit my job. Even though Centrelink were very difficult to deal with, I credit them with giving me the financial freedom/free time on weekends to pass all my subjects and graduate.

My tax dollars from the 4.5 years leading up to my final six months at uni probably came back to me in the time I was on the dole :P

I am now a full time Engineer and I'd say a fair proportion of my taxed income is going back into Centrelink to help those who are going through what I was doing last year.

Frankston houses one of the best hospitals in the South east suburbs, one of the best universities, and one of the best TAFE's.

Nothing to be embarrased about.

Very true Yagz. I'm also a uni student (although I'm deferring this year). I used to recieve youth allowance, and that's what paid all the bills. Then I lost it, and I've struggled for money ever since. I'm working now, so I'm raising a bit of money, but to get youth allowance on top of it would still make life a lot easier.

Even still, I find that pic pretty funny

Yagz I think the comment was made towards those people out there that deliberately try to avoid finding a job because they prefer to sit around at home and do whatever, believe me there are people like that out there.

So maybe you both should jump down off your soapboxes that are on top of your high horses.

I think you'll find that these days, in order to claim the dole, you can't just sit around at home and do nothing.

Go and do some research and come back and contribute.

Well I've lived in Sydney since we moved to Australia and even so, I've heard only bad things about Frankston, Victoria. Just as I'd expect non-Sydneysiders to have heard bad things about suburbs such as Redfern or some Western Suburbs.

But that car's pretty funny. Have seen the BMW too...got a pic of it somewhere. ONDDOLE numberplate with "Proudly Sponsored by" and the Centrelink logo filling up the back window.
