Default 2001 Laser Timing Belt

Hi all, I'm normally in the Territory Forum, however I have a small issue that I think can be answered here. My dad is looking at purchasing a 2001 Laser Wagon, 1.6l. The problem is that is has 110k on the clock. The dealer seems to have "misplaced" the log books and cannot tell me if the timing belt has been replaced on it or not.

Does anybody know when the timing belts on these things were scheduled for replacement? I have asked the dealer to change it if he can't verify it, and as you can imagine, I have a battle on my hands.

Any comments would be appreciated.
