Default Fascia DIN Spacer/Pocket

I Installed my Alpine 9855 HU a while ago, and left a gaping hole above the HU from the double DIN space..
I talked to the idiots at Strathfield and they said i would havta custom mould the Fascia...

I went to JB Hifi yesterday and they had a book full of the DIN pockets.. and i got it on order... awesome so happy..

I seen this at heaps n heaps of American n UK sites but not in OZ..

Anyway yer thought u guys might find that useful if u doin any ICE installs..

Just thought id add, it isnt quite a double din, German quirks means that nothing is ever normal in these cars. It is in fact a 1.8 DIN... lol... i had a whole double din in car dvd set up for a good price, but didnt really like the idea of hacking the face plate by a few mm so that i can fit in the dvd player.
So its put on hold for a lil untill i can get this sorted

I'd say for LR Tim, as they don't have LS in the states and I highly doubt there'd be anything this quickly for an LS!!!!

I had the same problem. A 1 DIN deck into a DIN and a half hole. So i had Jb HiFi install a variant of the second last facia in the above picture.
It looks great, looks completely stock. From memory they cost $30 but I managed to get it free

As for finding one suitable for your car, go into the ICE section of Jb and get them to have a look in the catalog.
