Question Clunky feeling when reversing...

I have got a weird clunky feeling and noise when i try reversing. I have also started to notice what feels like a bit of play in the backside of the car when going around some corners.

Could this be the diff binding up some how? Otherwise, what course of action should i take?

check the mounts from the rear arms to the diff hat. Mine used to clunk and this was the cause (also the bushes in the arms may be shot). with mine someone had gutter bashed it and the pin on the diff hat had come away from the casing -so the clunking was the arms bashing against the casing.- hopefully you can understand my description.

Did you also happen to get a feeling that it was binding up a bit?

That i do agree with... i had to reverse up my somewhat steep driveway the other day, and she sure didnt like it... ended up with a nice black skid mark on the ground with a really good tyre imprint profile :
