Default Anyone run a BF yet

Other than a magazine road test, has anyone run a BF Boss or 270T down the quarter?

I hear there may be a BF GT running with a 6 speed ZF this weekend if all goes well.

What sort of times do we really expect from a BF 290 GT first up with no mods?

I already know what a BF 240T has run, but more interested in BF Boss 260/290 and BF 270T as I know of one of each that will be hitting the track un-modded in the coming weeks, both with ZF boxes.

It's always good to see the comparison from one mag to the next... I always thought that the 14.6's I was reading about for BA F6's was a bit slow and after driving a couple myself I was assured that was definitely the case.

Hey folks the break down of the best 6 runs is as follows:

R/Time: 0.4253
60ft Time: 2.1232
Half Track Time: 9.0880
Half Track MPH: 78.36
ET: 14.0004
MPH: 104.26

R/Time: 0.4439
60ft Time: 2.0150
Half Track Time: 9.0950
Half Track MPH: 78.04
ET: 14.0321
MPH: 102.55

R/Time: 0.4699
60ft Time: 2.0049
Half Track Time: 9.1335
Half Track MPH: 78.64
ET: 14.0401
MPH: 102.18

R/Time: 0.4115
60ft Time: 2.0866
Half Track Time: 9.1183
Half Track MPH: 78.04
ET: 14.0435
MPH: 102.76

R/Time: 0.4139
60ft Time: 2.0324
Half Track Time: 9.1029
Half Track MPH: 78.07
ET: 14.0477
MPH: 103.40

R/Time: 0.5041
60ft Time: 1.9730
Half Track Time: 9.1337
Half Track MPH: 78.15
ET: 14.0477
MPH: 103.35

There were several runs with passengers that were mostly around the 14.2-14.3 mark (2.2 60ft) and 100 mph, plus about four 0.39 red lights which don't make any difference to ET anyway. The interesting stat is that the two runs without an air filter were 14.25 & 14.26 both with 2.2 60 footers and 101 mph speeds.

With the air at a constant 982 all day the indication is that a 13.9 is in gettable without any mods and possibly a 13.4 with a tune.

As I said though, there were several other runs with passengers and a few where various experiments such as different shift points and no air filter did cause times to be slower. Ironically the two quickest times with passengers were with the two heaviest passengers; with two 100 kg plus adults on board it ran 14.19 @ 100 mph with a 2.19 60 ft.

Also there is a mistake in the last ET it should be 14.0537

Special thanks to Chris from Blue Power for loaning us some tyres and Brenden Mock for some good advice at the track. Cheers

I see i big impovement in the 60 foot time, 1.97 is fantastic....must be those 6 speed auto's, 14.0 is good for a stock GT...

All runs were done in "100% as driven on the street" trim... The only reason we borrowed Chris's spare street tyres was that we weren't keen on smoking up a brand new set of $300 tyres

That's a great time for a stock BF GT that probably isn't run in yet, for once we can say FPV have a GT that crack's the 13's in stock form, Man HSV have had this for yr's, about bloody time.

A 13 was good air away... Notice the sixty foot time on the quickest run, driver error cost a 13 on that run

Driver error - I don't think so
All the driver had to do was hang on while the back tyres spun all the way to 3/4 track

Having said that there were seven 14.0's, three 14.1's (both with passengers), nine 14.2's (six with passengers), five 14.3's (four with passengers), one 14.4 (with Melz as a passenger), two 14.5's (with traction control on, left in normal D mode), one 15 (hit the limiter in second), one 18 (spun the tyres to 900 ft).
