Fairly primitive to today's standards.. But for a 260 ci engine
it flew!! Which could be bought off showroom floor...
Much like our V8's.. Can buy a Ford V8...

They laughed at it and allowed it to race...
Banned the next season...

i remember someone saying once that the actual engine in question is here in Australia, someone bought it a few years back.

up until 7 or so years ago only a handful of turbo cars had run 6-second passes, only 3 or 4 that have run 5's. more and more turbo cars are coming out of the woodwork.

Aha yes... I can remember when I thought 6 seconds was fast!!
How can they EVER improve on that ???
How much power would a F1 1500cc turbo engine make these days with
tech and ECU around now....

exactly, times have changed 10 years ago if u ran 11's on the streets u were considered quick, now u got to be running at least 9's

i think F1 is going back to turbo in a couple years so we might find out
