Default VIDEO: Fastest modular powered vehicle in the world! 281ci of Ford goodness

i think this deserved it's own post John Mihovetz's Accufab Mustang ran a 6.08@236 a couple days back this is the quickest pass by a Ford DOHC motor ever. i also believe this may be the fastest pass using factory cast blocks and heads http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNPNxbEQX8Y amazing achievement, showcasing just what can be done with these engines. well done John and Crew.

some specs
4.6L (282ci) Ford Mustang alloy block has some mod tweaks of course
GT Supercar heads, ported, still runs factory lifters/rockers
Dry Sump
4-speed Lenco
2500lbs (Top Doorslammers weigh 2700lbs but have 520ci)
twin 80mm Precision turbo's
2500hp@50psi
11.25:1 compression, Q16 Race fuel.

it's a combination of everything, tune, fuel, cooling, timing etc. the modulars are not known for running alot of timing. many pumping out 25+psi won't even see 20 degrees on a good fuel. the internals are actually quite cheap compared to others running similar times. uses an aftermarket Bryant crank now, but has gone 6.20 with a factory crank. Manley billet steel rods ($2000), JE Pistons with some hardcore wristpins say another $2000. heads are factory ones they have ported. still uses the factory lifters n rockers. has aftermarket valves and springs.
