Default ATTN: All Boss V8 Owners

I know it is short notice, BUT I would like to organise a Boss V8 (or alternatively a modular V8) Bracket at the Ultimate Drag Challenge on Saturday March 4th.

I'm hoping that this opportunity for everyone to get together all in the one place at the one time and just go racing will be a big enough incentive. I think it's time we did this and just have fun going out taking each other on in a bit of the old "Run what ya brung and hope ya brung enough format."

Perhaps we could get a few businesses together and rustle up a couple of hundred bucks prizemoney, I'm sure it could be done...

We have about 3 weeks til this event is on and I'm sure we all have enough time to put our heads together and come up with something workable as well as getting together as many of the quickest Boss V8's as possible for a good old fashioned day of racing.

And please if you don't want to race, no excuses just be honest and say "I don't want to race," no-one will hold it against you. Likewise no crap about how your car is always slower at Heathcote etc etc etc, let's just get everyone out there and race our little hearts out!

Craig, i spend so much time at home now that mine is all too keen to ship me off to a car show or drag meet whenever an important one comes up :

Anyway, Las Vegas is a business trip isn't it? You could always take her and leave her at the Montecito while you go check out the skids...

On the serious side, Chris @ Blue Power has shown interest in getting involved, whch is good to have the leading Boss tuner in the land.

Ok, so far we have:

Racing
Bluepower
Craig @ Ace

Organising
JG3282

If you are interested in racing at this event and would like to pre-enter ($45, cheaper than the $55 on the day) then shoot through an email to smalltorque@bigpond.com

In the meantime I'll sit down with Chris and nut out a workable schedule

Im strongly suggesting a class based index system.

SB/F = street boss forced (street tyres forced inductioned unopened)

SB/N = street boss NA and STREET tyres, no drag radials.

RB/F = Race Boss forced (drag radial or slick tyre, weight removal ok)

RB/N = Race Boss NA head and cam, etc

BOSS - same as LS1 - bolt on class, meaning unopened and NA.

I will have index ET's for these soon.

Chris we'll talk about it tomorrow morning, but I think you have the right idea and being the man on the scene have the knowledge to make it work... All we need is for the owners of the cars to make it happen.

Also it would be great to see some rivals : go head to head

Ya gotta start somewhere. This would be the bext time and place to do it sfr_rob. It's gonna be a relaxed atmosphere and i'm sure the staff at Heathcote could provide pointers along with everyone there. Ya gotta start somewhere!
My first passs was up against a 10 second car :
