Default What's it worth

In 1986 my dad worked at Bathurst as a chef. At the end if the race, staff were given access to any unsold stock such as souvenirs. My dad grabbed a couple of these flags. One of the flags someone knocked off from his accommodation. So I only have the one.

I've never seen one before and I'm sure there's more out there. I've had this since 1986. I'm not looking to sell only to see whether anyone has seen one before. Dad said that the RRP on these flags in 86 was $500. Has anyone seen one if these before? It's a little bit of history. I think it was the last year of the full Conrod before the chase went in.

dunno man.. sort of thing may hold a lot of sentimental value..

knowing its true value.. need to be prepared to sell and put on the open market and let the market decide..

i got a bit of signed Brock gear from VK GPA days.. having the man sign them for me makes em fairly special.. more than $$$$ in my hand..

You could always use "Married Mans Sales Logic"...

If there's an item you own...say an old motorbike, a car, some memorabilia...that the wife has been saying you should look at selling, but yu're not sure if you want to, then stick it on Ebay or something with a ludicrous price.
If it sells, it sells for an amazing price...if it doesn't, then you can look the wife in the eye and say you tried to sell it dear, but no one was interested...

My mate had that happen to him, his mrs wanted him to get rid of one of his 5 cars or 2 bikes. He looked her square in the eyes and said "I'm not selling my cars or my bikes until I find a new one I like more." She fought and bickered and moaned and he just wouldn't sell. Lucky guy....

On another note, chuck the flag up on eBay with a note at the bottom saying "I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime as item is listed elsewhere etc etc etc" and see what it gets up to, then pull it.
