Default XR owners with Premium brakes

Just a quick question to all XR owners that have premium brakes on their cars (with caliper on trailing edge). What rotor are you guys runnng? Im having trouble finding the correct rotor for my T2 as apparently T3 rotors wont fit either DBA part number 506 is wats listed in the catalogue supposedly they dont fit but it says AUIII 00/03 its abit misleading. Any ideas.

I run 506's in my setup (its not factory premium but it is the equivalent) and I had to modify the part the caliper goes onto (cant remember the proper name for the part!) to use aftermarket rotors. The Herrod setup uses some weird rotor that was imported from the states and impossible to get, hence why mine are modified. All that useless crap aside, you shouldnt have any problems running 506's on yours.

cant use a sticker, it would get way too hot and melt.

I'm running RDA rotors on the rear now, very similar to the DBA 4000, also a 1/4 of the price of the genuine Ford premium rotors. Not sure of part number for the RDA's but can find out if you want.

I think RDA's run the same part numbers as DBA discs

This was only the case for the standard rotors. Well this is what my Ford parts guy is telling me.

When I was looking around for brake painting ideas etc it seems there's a lot of guys with jap cars putting decals on their brakes without any problems. Get some vinyl tickford decals and stick them on, I reckon it'll be fine. Apparently it's the rotor that gets the hottest, not so much the caliper.

Yep, if your calliper gets hot enough to melt a vinyl sticker, than you have probably run out of brakes!
