Default Name down For a Humvee

Had been looking around for a new car for the last 12months or so then when we found out GM are going to be doing the Humvee. Went and had a look and thought bugger it why not. Just dont ask the price, there is a 12 month waiting list but we can wait. This is the sort of one we ordered. So what do you think??

They need to be lifted with big wheels otherwise they look out of shape.

Well they are a pretty silly car, but if you have the cash then why the heck not, does everything the Terry does, probably goes off road better. Only down side would be the fuel consumption I pressume.

No one here would really know what they are like anyway.

edit: oh GM I liked drongo...lol :dr_Evil:

Polyal - I recanted a little to try not to send this off track. Oooops, back on track.

I love them, I don't care about their practicality - they just demand attention.

I know it hurt having to walk into one, but hey I'm over it now. It will be the 7liter diesel twin turbo jobby for me, the version we ordered is the black on black?? is there any other colour i ask. They wont be doing a V8 not yet anyway. All i no is that it has a ship load of leg and head room and they go like the clappers. They are doing a buyers night out at some test track now that should be some fun. Bj

Its a H3.
I had a look at the motor show and was very disappointed.
Please don't try and confuse them with the H1 (enormous) and H2 (very Large).
They are tinny (relative to the H1) and powered by a 5 cylinder petrol engine.
The things are nothing more than an a mean looking large 4WD.
economy will be OK, towing will be adequite.
I dont think the one in the photo is a H3.

Now this is were it get hard, i no they will be bringing in the H3 but i have ordered a H1 spec version. It has cost me more a ship load more but that's what we or i should say I wanted. They will do it at a cost. Thats why the 12 month wait for it.

H1 is quite a handy gadget for some.

If I was after something a bit more than a troopy for my private army I would look at the H1.

Ok
I am confused...
The little Hummer (H3) with the 180kW 5cyl, thats made in South Africa (RHD) and sold through Holden Dealerships (engineered for Australian ADR's) is not the one you will be getting.

Yours will be a H1, which is built in the states, LHD, big mutha, imported / converted / warrenteed by who?

I'm not trying to be a pain, I'd just like to know what the go is.

Yeah I'm a bit lost too. To get the H1 you wouldnt be going through a Holden dealer, as the only ones they are getting (AFAIK) are the H3's with the 5cyl engines.

I'm lost :.

admit it, its not the towing capacity that is the reason for you getting it, heaps cheaper cars out there with same or greater towing cap. you just want a gigantic mofo car that has CTIS, has a legitimate reason for not going off road, and to intimidate the hell out of other road users... out:

YES I AM JEALOUS :dr_Evil:

Yeah I second that - the pic is an H1 but Holden are importing the smaller, rounder H3 from South Africa.
