The graphs for today are ones we haven't looked at for awhile, the case and mortality rates per 100k adults for selected countries:

... and the CMR by continent where our region (Oceania) has fallen below Asia and Africa and is only just below the global average -

... and the CMR for selected countries which also shows Australia slightly above the global average -

... and the test percentages (based on adult population) for selected countries -

.. and the tests per identified case where Australia is still way out in front of most countries which suggests that we are possibly close to knowing what the real infection rate is -

If we're unable to get a working vaccine and it sticks around for years I'd be willing to be everything I have (which isn't much to be honest) that legislation is introduced around it, including negligence for people that knowingly expose others.

If you see a difference between your legal obligations to not harm someone else's health versus your moral obligation to not harm them.. that may not yet be illegal.. IE: opinion.. then I think you're just proving what I'm saying to be honest.

You can't just run around out in the open as much as you like potentially infecting other people and expecting everyone else to just avoid you if they don't want to get sick. We know the virus is airborne, we know it hangs around on surfaces long enough to potentially catch it that way.

What you're basically saying is that you should be able to walk around as much as you like with a loaded gun. That's how I interpret what you're saying. If I'm wrong feel free to clarify.
If you are running with legislation, What about Andrews and his own Industrial Manslaughter laws........Cheif Officers and Senior Managers being accountable for deaths? Would love to see how a Director or a CEO would go in one of those cases if every answer they gave was “I don’t know who made any decisions”

This is further complicated by the fact that whereas most countries are reporting from 00:00-23:59 as their day, we've chosen to make the Australian reporting period inconsistent with some States ending their day at 20:00 or 21:00 while others, like Victoria close each 24 hour period at 10:00.
Russell, would it be possible for your daily update to be about midday and split Australia/Rest of the world? The VIC daily update data is released closer to 11:00am. And when they are, the numbers don't match with your daily update.

**Plus, since the borders are closed and we can't travel overseas, who cares about the rest of the world anyway??

She threw herself under the bus. Earlier this week, the HWU called for her resignation because of "breathtaking incompetence" and said Mikakos lacked "even a basic understanding of her portfolio" in light of her evidence during the hotel quarantine inquiry.

Not the first time she has lied, and been involved in corruption. Three times over her time in Parliament Mikakos had been involved in misuse of taxpayer funds. Three times! Think she would've learned after the first time. She botched her Minister for Youth Affairs role by forcing underage inmates into an adult prison. Which ended up at the Supreme Court of Victoria. She was also suspended from Parliament a couple of years ago.

As the VIC Health Minister, Mikakos was in charge of Victoria's health and the hotel quarantine. She failed miserably. She attempted to distance herself from decisions, specially regarding using private security for hotel quarantine, and had developed sudden amnesia it seems when she was questioned by Daniel Andrews. Who then stripped her of responsibility for hotel quarantine last month, and called for an inquiry. Her statements and evidence during the enquiry was truly laughable.

+700 people dead.

Manslaughter charges likely.

Department heads run things.

Politicians love publicity, often forget what they say but it’s all on video tape.

Sit back and watch them eat their own.

Jenny the first domino to fall.
