Default '12 zetec fiesta, issues

Just picked up a 2012 fiesta, zetec

looks like someones attempted to install foggies, but couldn't be arsed finishing the job, that or some other anomolie

the foggie surrounds have been butchered, and have light globes taped in them, you know the screw in type from bunnings

the 2 wires are there, but have the white caps on

on the dash i have switch like this - my question is, Is the button on the left a switch or just a blank?

problem is, i need to sort this issue out because im going to inspection next week, and they are gonna moan about it being present and not working

Can't help you a lot here other than with the switch.

On our Fiesta metal - the button on the left is for the fog lights and the one on the right is for the rear fog lights.

You have a blank in your left one though.

I thought the Zetecs would have come with foggies....

Ours is labelled.

I am sure it does feel the same - but wouldn't be labelled if it didn't operate anything. At least from the factory anyways.

Who knows what tinkering has happened in the mean time...

Zetecs have fog lights standard and do not have a blanking plate on that button. It should be fully functioning.

Funny these people tried to put a 240v light globe into a car as fog lights. Dodgy brothers!

So, get some h11's (and sort mess under the front bumper) then off to ford dealers to register the cpu as having foggies, all should be well?

Only one reason for the globes taped in, somewhere the front end has sustained some type of damage.
This could be from a simple rabbit strike to a full on collision with something harder.
The dash switch is extremely strange. As you have confirmed the VIN I'm at a loss to understand why the proper switch is not there.
Unless there has been some type of VIN switch.......
Can I ask if this is a dealer car or a private sale?
