Talking my birthday present :)

So i turn 16 tomorrow (18th) and all i asked for for my birthday and Christmas this year was a car, and my mum agreed and i found a ef fairmont with 294,000km, and a little paint fade, and a broken blinker which wasnt bad for $500......i will be recieving the car in a few weeks because it's at my relatives house which is like 6hrs away but i got a few pics from the listing on gumtree.

Congratulations mate, Nothing like getting your first car it's one you'll always remember
My first that was all mine and I could legally drive was an EK Holden automatic wagon, Man what a car, it was awesome at the time (Actually I don't think awesome was even a word back then)
But it was faster than my mates Morris 1000 and my other mates Vauxhall Viva plus it had shag pile carpet glued to the interior ceiling that would rain dust and dirt every time you were on a corrugated road
Yep, A whole 138 cubic inches of underwhelming power, But it was mine and it was the best thing on the road at the time
Enjoy your first car mate

Enjoy mate! Mine was a bucket of crud but all the little things that drove you insane make you remember it even more fondly.

You'll never forget your first car... I certainly remember the back seat... I MEAN....

Congrats!

These days I'm so jealous of people getting decent cars as their first car. I only had a KA Laser as my first.

But maybe it's because I'm old enough to remember when the EF was brand spanking new

Happy birthday and welcome to the E series club, you can see other E series owners in the OzEcruisers section on the forum, look for us in the main index and get a thread up there, and get some help from the lovely people in there.

Savour the E series. Still miss mine to this day. Was like you, always wanted a B-series, however I wanted it under my terms, not the way I got it. Would still go back to that day if I could and change it, however I can't.
Mind you, still LOVE mine

Congrats bro
