Default Mark Webbers New Porsche

Mark Webber is now the proud owner of a limited Porsche 911 GT2 RS.

Taking delivery of his new toy just before Christmas, Webber apparently approached the Porsche dealership in the UK asking for no favours, paying full price for the car. But some would say it's worth it - it's a limited-edition model (500 units worldwide) and is already sold out.

Nice !! Mark's earnt it!!!

I follow his Twitter account, he mentioned this car ages ago, he must have finally decided to get it.

Lucky boy.

I'm not really pleased to see high powered cars in the hands of novices...........where is Ken Lay when you need him?

This young man doesn't have the years of driving experience behind him to be able to drive a high powered car like this.

I want one :(

benefits of not driving for a manufacturer. Could imagine how thrilled Mercedes would be if it were Rosberg or Schuey jumping in a new porsche!

Apparently there's anoth guy from Queanbeyan who was spotted in a porsche just last week. Wallopers pulled him over and he's now doing 5 to 10 for theft (for those who don't know Mark's hometown, it's the equivalent of a Collingwood or South Sydney fan driving a porsche).

Good on mark for rewarding his success.

Well done Mark! You deserve it mate

Very few have had as long a career as you and now the results are flowing with a car has been strong! Nice to see the outspoken but decent guy do so well.

Here's to more success in 2011 and beyond.

Just work on those starts!

great car,

interesting that F1 drivers have a bit of a history for crashing road cars. Not Mark of course, push bikes are his big problem.

If he was driving for a manufacturer, he'd probably be given something for free or have something in the contract. Hamilton got an SLR IIRC off the team.
