I understand you mate.. Mine is doing the same..

I'll try to explain it though.. Go to home page.. Look across at any section.. lets says the bar.. it says wat the last post in that section was.. now click on the section title and the one that was showing as the latest post is like way down the page..

I notice it more in the sale threads..

Also mine shows bolded threads all over the place.. Not sure if its related..

Cheers,
Nik

The sales threads show that way deliberately so as to stop the incessant bumping.

Cannot say I've ever seen it in other areas though.

Could it be that the thread you were looking for is hiding in a sub-forum

For instance, on the home page, the ORSM Ford Cruise Car Club section's last post was in the "How XR-6000 Evolved Into..." thread.

Click on the ORSM link and it won't show that thread at the top of the list of threads in that particular forum, becuase the thread in question is in the Build sub-forum.

I'll have a crack at this....

If the home page has been sitting for any length of time, in reality, posts would be updated and added to, and the rotation of what's on top will always change. But your home page doesn't automatically refresh, so whatever was the last post 10 min ago will still appear as the last post after 10 min as the page hasn't refreshed.

However, upon clicking on the bar / pub etc, the process of loading that page also refreshes the forum, so that post that appears to be first, is now 10 posts down.

Still with me??

So, before you enter into any of the sub pages, click refresh on the home page to get the latest update before deciding what forum post to select.

I'm hoping this is what your talking about, and i'm hoping what I said makes sense???

I have a question...I have noticed that when you are online, and someone puts a new thread it is a dark blue and then after you have read it is loses it's "Bold". But I thought that the same thing happens when you read a thread and then someone puts a new post??

I thought that the thread use to go back to "Bold" after a new post was put on it...or is it only when you log out and then back in again?? Refreshing does nothing to highlight the thread again.

the refresh button fixed it !

but why has it suddenly done this, it always use to refresh by it self and show all the new/current topics/threads, now if i go into thw "orion" page all the 2 day old threads are still bold but when i hit refresh all the new threads appear in bold and the old ones are lowewd down the page.

how can i set up "auto refresh"?
