Default ea cfi problems

ive been runnning a auto mpi ecu in my cfi t5 recently. i was a bit heavy on fuel so i got an original t5 cfi unit and put it back in but now theres a little black smoke puffin out...was with the other ecu aswell...
and also the car just doesnt feel as responsive as it used to... easpecially in 3rd its very sluggish.


any ideas any1?

i think i fixed it....ive been told advancing the timing to tdc and it should do some crap which gives it a better response....i had it at tdc with the new ecu in and test drove it....it ran better then it does now....


can i have someones oppinion.

Watch out for pinging when advancing the timing. CFI is crap go for a MPFI conversion!!
