I've got a 1993 AX Telstar (2.0L manual), and the last couple of thousand k's, the CV joints have been clicking (particularly the passenger side one). Now, I'm intending to replace them at the service (or soon after), which is booked in for Thursday, but I'd like to know how much I'd typically be up for per joint (for reco or new)?
Given that I'm on a tight student budget, I don't want to be spending a fortune

$140-$180 fitted cv joints----usually exchange per side
$70 if you repack them and give them a new boot per side all about CV joints Part one general information http://www.aa1car.com/library/cvjoint1.htm Part two faults and diagnosis http://www.aa1car.com/library/cvjoint2.htm

Thanks for that.
I've just had the service done on my car, and I've been confirmed that both CV joints need replacing (passenger one especially), it isn't urgent yet. I'll probly get the passenger one done in the next month or so though, I'd get both done, but I'm short on cash. Now I know what to budget for
