Default 200kw V8 spark plugs

Hi all

just a query, can anybody advise what the correct NGK plug is for the 200kw V8 - in a NON iridium? I am a cylinder down at the moment and have been told it's the plugs so would like to get some on the way home tomorrow and drop them in.

Bosch Part Number is ok but NGK would be better.

after finding how hard cylinder 5 (i think its 5) is with the stock manifold, im glad i chucked iridiums in. they are somewhat expensive, but when you get a solid 100k out of them, i think its money well spent.

dont have the non iridium part number, but if u want the iridiums, let me know.

You might be able to cross it over if you have access to an NGK book, but usually they only offer an irridium option for a standard plug.

Thankyou - NGK only list iridiums and there's no way I would leave a plug in for 100,000kms. My ute had the originals in it and they are gone at 85,000kms hence my need to replace them.

i had bpr5efs 1.3 for the stock 5l, xr8 maybe colder as in 6efs. By the way you won't have any problem changing plugs with difillipo 4-1s. I use to have friends with small hands change some of my plugs with standard headers but i have no probs with the 4-1s.

Thanks for that - I got some EFS13's at lunch today and will put them in this afternoon after work.

The Irridium Plugs part no. just in case you come to your sense's is TR55IX, you'll get the best price from ebay!

I know what the part number is for iridiums, I work in automotive retail but NGK dont supply anything other than Iridiums for our V8's and there's no way I am leaving them in for 100,000kms.

The BPR6EFS-13 are actually for the Holden 304 V8 but they fit (and work) just fine.

Matt - worth putting some in yours mate. I have heaps on the shelf too.

When I had my AU with pacemakers on it i almost had to take the passenger side header off to change one of the plugs,till luckily by chance I found some unusually short cheapy chinese plug socket in my dads garage that fit...
