Default what rims have you car/s seen?

i can remember my 1st ford was the ea ghia which had the factory alloy turbo blades,

i updated these, some may say downgraded, to xf ghia rims, the chris x cross pattern really suited the silver slate, these were pinched from dad best tyres i have ever had! michelin x. they stayed on for nearly a year!

then i got my hands on an ed fairmont, my only plan was to put turbo blades on it, they ended up on mum's falcon S, which still look great today!

my 1st set of steelies, 14" came factory on my 91 ea gl woooooo, caps rock!

they didn't stay on to long and were swapped for my retro 3 spoke chromies with plenty of dish, i forget what they were called, i managed to score some BBS rims off my bro later on which were in 17" which i would have kept for the EL but i saw them on quite a few bombs and thought they cheapened the rim.

The EL got robbed of the standard fairmont rims, ASAP! they are the crappiest looking stock alloys ever, intaceptors and el gli caps roxzor, i then scored some EL Saphires which i reckon look very similar to the caps but in alloy form lol

Most of the rims i speak of can be seen here, in n1ko does E-Series:
http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=76678

and if anyone is wondering the big rims in my avatar were on my merc, a nice set of 18" amg copies

I went from EA-Spak rims, to Turbo Blades now to FTRs and at one point I had a set of Speedy 18's on

And to Poyrals post wtf man? Its a good topic, Rims are one of the easyist common mods and distinguishes someones car!!!

LOL...yes I agree, which is why I like mine. Bigger doesn't always mean better. Just need to lower it and it will be sweet.

Also grandpa spec means no cop attention which is a nice change.

That pic was in reference to the shameless plug of your other thread...just a joke. :eclipsee_

edit: you just inspired my new profile line!

LOL...had nothing to do with the fact that you were sideways around a corner ;)

My last ea had came with some ROH ZS's, they were pretty scratched so I painted them black, and kept the lip silver and then it got some EF XR6's

Even when the superlows are in, the flaps stay if I can help it :

Ill cut them shorter if I have to. My last car had chips all over the rear bumper, this one is good and it will stay that way.

it will be difficult to keep them, as it will scrape hardcore and if you cut them they will loose that nice grandpa groove that they come with :P

Mine has been nothing special...

Car came with a set of factory FTR 16's... Had those for a few years until I found a brand new set of EL GT's...

That set was on the car for just over a year, then it rolled on stockies when I sold those GT's to replace them another brand new set of GT's I had just purchased.

My replacement Ghia came with genuine AJR Signatures, but they only lasted on the car a week until I put the GT's back on once I salvaged them from the insurance company.

Being an EL Ghia my car would have come factory with the Ghia rims (duh).... then had polished FR18's on it... then when I got it it had the EL GHia wheels back on.... then copped EL GT's (copies) and now has 18" BF GT copies.

My car has had:

15" Factory Ghia
16" EL XR
17" Gladiators
15" Turbo Blades
15" Stockies with EF Futura hub caps (same as ebmanul's)
15" Plain black Stockies
17" AU1 XR
17" AU2 XR
17" AJR's (FairmontEL's ones)
17" EL GT's (only for a day)

car looked best with the stockies and the AJR's IMO.

I started out with 15" EB1 Ghia snowflakes, like the BMW ones rather than the XF/EA ones. When I had my XE I was hanging for a set of XF snowflakes! But I never got around to getting any so the GL painted steelies stayed.

Now I've got 16x9" Contra rims! Pics can be seen in my Workshop Builds thread (plug plug eh Al :P)

I've only ever had turboblades on my car. For about 6 months, they didn't have centrecaps, but that's changed

I've only got turboblades, but the best rims I reckon are AJR Directors (as seen on onereded). From the first time I saw them in his garage when he got them I've wanted a set, spewing that I couldn't afford them when he wanted to sell the other day
