I've seen the '430kw' GMH offer only make 298rwkw on a chassis dyno...

As unlikely as it is, anyone of you guys in the know hearing anything about them possibly continuing the 2.9% at all ?
Definitely continuing on 2013 built Falcon, Falcon ute, Kuga and FPV!! Till end of March

Im actually talking about the 2.9% finance as its an incentive to move the 2013 (older) stock...but who knows this is Ford we're talking about here ;)

New bumper (front?) sounds interesting - that is more than just stickers. Thought it was suggested no unique bodywork as it would require crash testing (which would be expensive if it is for only 500 cars).

Xr6turbo270 are you speculating or do you know this for a fact from a credible. I'm most interested to know as I have a deposit on one (refundable if I'm not satisfied with the package) and I was hoping for a stripe kit that wasn't overpowering. I'm not a fan of the in your face Cobra stripes and am sad if this is what it will be

Thought about that, but not sure about the whole paint finishing process and sealing process with stripes works. Pretty sure FPV have paint protection from factory.
whether you buy it as an option or not, you've got it, it's more the warranty you're buying- they don't tell you that though otherwise no one would buy it... Those in the know, Please correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I was told by a dealer with my BA typhoon, might have changed since then

Anyway, dealer gad told me there is no stripes delete option with the last gt, so if I were to physically remove them after taking delivery, would there be any paint comparison issues?

True. Though I think they'd spray the car and complete the paint job prior to attaching any stripes. Cant really paint the bonnet/roof/boot without the stripes getting painted as well otherwise.

I still reckon it would be a shame to let go of the last GT just because of the stripes. I plan to remove them if I dont like them. Prefer no stripes to be honest.

Yeah right. Your dealer is full of **** about the paint protection.

As for removing stripes there's no issue providing you do it as soon as you get the car.

Agree Dash, there's one born every minute.Never ceases to amaze me what dealers will say to sell a car and the fact that punters will believe it is also unbelieveble.

How I found out about the paint protection was when a detailer I employed to put paint protection on my car, the paint had a strange reaction when his coating was applied, he rang up ford to find out why and he was told paint protection was applied to all fpvs at factory. He further quizzed them about what they were selling as an option then, and the guy said basically people are getting a warranty on it!

This was with a BA, things may have changed. Anyone heard ic this before

FPV has never fitted paint protection. They only thing they have fitted is Data Dots, which is not paint protection, and is only sprayed under body.

I'm not confusing data dots, I know FPV have never promoted they do paint protection, the point I'm making is that only when pushed by my Detailer as to why there was a reaction to his protection coating did the dealer give up the info that it already had it...basically dealers don't tell this to people, and when people buy paint protection from the dealer, they don't do anything extra other than organise a warranty certificate.

I'm not saying this continues now with fpv or that all paint protection is a scam ( my mate works at tint a car and applies it for various dealers when they sell it), this is just what I was told at the time which I'm sharing with you all. It may be a false story but it did make sense as to why there was a reaction

I am interested to know if this is a one off story or whether anyone heard of this before

He's feeding you crap. They have never done factory paint protection. If they were going to do it don't you think they would use it as a extra feature over regular Falcons. What's the point of hiding it.

I think he stuffed up the paint protection and blamed it on Ford's mysterious factory paint protection...

All your comments may be correct, the only reason fpv might do it and not promote it might be economies of scale, perhaps a version of quick application paint protection was done at FPV then max profit is made when dealers sell it. If people don't buy it, all FPV cars still look good years on ( back when they cared about their brand image)
Just my speculation, maybe the detailer was lying, but I knew him personally.

Anyway not that fussed with this whole story, just want to know that I can remove stickers without damage to paint on last GT
