This is such a great thread because it shows the different tastes our members have in cars, especially some of the younger guys who are into older stuff.
My personal top favorite is the most obvious GT40. Have had a lust bordering on obsession for these since the young days, I own a model of a MKII and I hope one day to own one. I think ford did a great job in recreating it in 200....5? Fantastic. One each old and new in black please.
But then of course my mind wanders. The XB GT coupe is a no brainer, when you get taken for a ride in one at age 13 with your best mate in the back and the Cleveland at full noise you never really let go of that car. I loved its look then and I love it now.
The Saleen S7 is another I've really fallen for. Thanks to whoever posted it up the page; it's a true beauty.
Last but not least is a bit of left field because it isn't technically a production car, more a kit car you build and can register. Ultima GTR. I'll have one with a coyote thanks.

Love lots of new model cars but for me , this is just sex on wheels, its just something about the shape and lines.
The good thing is, its mine.
I have an xr8 as well but I just love driving this car.

This was a question I had asked myself for a few years (to be exact, the question was which car do I want to end up with when I have all the money in the world, so I think what I'm about to say is relevant for a 'best looking for of all time in your opinion' type of question). I'd seen a lot of 70s American muscle cars, I liked the general look of the cars but I couldn't really say that I liked any of the cars as a whole. I continued looking for a long time for the car that I wanted, it never really occurred to me that I'd never be able to afford one unless I was being paid very well but to be fair the prices weren't insanely high when I was looking.

I can't exactly remember but I think I decided a Charger was the car that I planned to get. I don't really remember because I liked one end of the car but I thought the other end looked horrible. I think the plan was to chop two cars and weld them together. Yeah.

I sat on that for a while, but suddenly my dream car had changed. I wanted a Soviet T34/85 tank. $40,000 at max prices my friend told me, great, no problem at all! Just a few- wait- $40,000 will actually take me a few years and it wouldn't be possible to get it roadworthy. Back to looking at cars for me!

I went back to my old plan. I still couldn't bring myself to appreciate the look of one of these cars as a whole though. Late last year I decided to watch Mad Max again, the first one being my favourite for some reason, a lot of people I know say they don't like the first one. Anyway, when I first watched Mad Max a few years ago (I was a bit late I know!) the picture was squashed a little. It made all the cars look like they were hatchback sized. This wasn't the case when I watched it more recently. I now wanted to make an MFP pursuit replica, slim chance I thought. Small production run car I assumed, and of course it was in Mad Max, everyone would have bought them.

I did my research and discovered that it was actually a Falcon XB (Which surprisingly I never recalled seeing one). It also had a lot of the looks of the American muscle cars that I liked, in fact, I liked every single bit of it. I didn't want an MFP replica any more, I wanted an XB Sedan. I can honestly say, out of all the cars I've ever seen, it's the one that appeals to me the most.

Guess what I drive right now?

A '95 Toyota Camry. Living the dream. (I hope at least one person was expecting me to say an XB.)

To be specific, I find myself favouring an XB GS with an orange GS stripe.

I'll be honest, the idea didn't last too long. (It is very possible to import a tank though! Very expensive too.)

On Style: Aston Martin V12 Vantage and Jaguar XKR (Ian Callum!!)
On performance: Nissan GT-R, it doesnt have the elegance of a Ferrari or a McLaren, its all brute force! Imagine what McLaren could do using the basic GT-R drive train but in one a full carbon chassis along the lines of the MP4-12C!!

PS. Are there any Ex-ADF Centurion Tanks floating around still? Centurion beats T34/85

I'm going to go out on a limb and post a couple of cars that I HONESTLY (seriously) think are nice looking, well designed cars, that never really took off.
