I would have said F6 in the 5.4L days, but damn its a hard choice with the 5.0L supercharged now.

its not a hard choice... 8 cylinders and a blower from factory. tick THAT box!
I didn't think things were so bad that you would have to buy a Holden though?

Thanks for the reply barra240t .. In the end we .. that is the wife and me, have decided to go with Winter White and black stripes. The dealer already had one in that combination on order unallocated as well.

I liked the Kinetic with Silver but the wife did not like the stripes. However she liked the Winter White and I said if we get White it has to have stripes .. Compromise done.

Cheers Mike

Why not make a Ford Falcon GT in FH... Not like there is any point in saving it to later! Resale is terrible anyhow so also not point worrying about that either... It is not like people will be to ****ed off to buy the next model when there wont be one.

I vote for a proper Ford Falcon GT to finish it off.

Ford has voted otherwise and has committed to killing the GT badge off with FPV in July

No.

Look at the date uploaded and then listen to the ad ... then come back.

The GT shows the history... the F6 does not.

Have seen driveaway demos F6's for $51k. Less gst that's only $46k.
That's tempting but I'll keep my 08 FGF6 & possibly grab a FH XRT also.

Would you be referring to the lack of projector headlights and probably dark argent wheels (which aren't really visible as the car is always moving) in the F6 ad which flags it as an FG and not an FG2?

At least they show the FG2 screen in the interior shot referring to sat nav...

I look at the videos for the video, not to look at the date.

It still shows a GT in the GT add. Most people will contact their FPV dealer to drive the car and get a deal, not what is shown on an advertisement. The ad gets them into the dealership.

And that theory has worked well for FPV, hasn't it?

All I'm saying is that you really shouldn't use an old superseded model to sell the new model - unless, your pushing a retro/reminisce angle (which they did for the GT)

Marketing fail in my books.

Hi all,

Just an update as the month comes to an end. We have pretty much sold out of what we have been allocated for now. I will have to wait until end of Q1 to see what Ford have planned for the remaining of the year. Let me say if you are waiting on if you should buy a GS ute or not, jump on one because they are rare as rocking horse poop compared to a GT or F6

You snooze you lose !
Ive Been told by dealer that the rest of the offer will continue though, 64990 driveway, leather and satnav and that he can still order the color that I want, which is red with black stripes.

As unlikely as it is, anyone of you guys in the know hearing anything about them possibly continuing the 2.9% at all ?

My prediction is the next (and last) batch of GT's will be something special, not GTHO special but maybe Rspec special.
They are clearing these now because nobody will won't them when the final run comes out.
Then again, maybe I'm completely wrong, we will wait and see............

I did contemplate jumping on an F6 now but have decided to wait until the FH is released with running gear etc confirmed.

Pretty sure there will be more FPV "specials" coming up this year.

Yes the FPV pricing is staying where it is. They are building a few GT's over the next few months before they build the final run. The special edition ones will be exxy tho with no incentives.

Think of Holden as the last performance car made in OZ ?
Just as an aside I've never owned one yet but have have have a Mini & a few Vals.
Are the 430kw GMH a better last built in OZ offer ?
