Another thing i have never understood is why people install monster tachometers into cars that ALREADY have a tacho in the dash. WHY

I agree in a stock type car.
But as in my sons Capri fitted with A V8 with full manual shift auto & 9 inch with 4.33 gears that has run a 12 sec it helps that bit with the light informing you of the revs.

The car was actually parked behind your gazebo display

There was a few critics on that Focus 4dr with a unusual rear spoiler fitted. But I guess every one has differing opinions of mods to a car.

Well you's did well in the trophy stakes & I was one number of the main raffle prize. A good day & I was more sun smart this year

It was a fantastic day, weather was great, if we hadn't had to much dust flying around it would have been perfect!

It was great to meet some of you and put a face, voice and personality with the usernames here, and I'm glad I was able to entertain a few of you with my 'mythbuster' episode on my car, hahahaha!

And as usual, Small Ford Sunday was bigger and better this year then any previous year that I've been to. Pretty much all the regular cars were there, but there were plenty there that I had never seen before too, which always makes it worth the trip.

Hopefully in a few years time I'll have a car I can show there.

PS and Matt, when we were leaving McDonalds to go there, I wouldn't call what I did a burnout, it was just a brief moment where one of my rear tyres didn't quite have traction, but no smoke, so I wouldn't call it a burnout, LOL! I guess that's to be expected when I put my foot down to try and keep up with you guys in a car making about the same amount of horsepower, heaps more torque, but weighing probably several hundred more kilos and having crap gear ratios (2.77:1 is a stupidly tall ratio, I miss my 3.77:1 diff in the escort) - you guys could have easily lost me if you wanted to, lol!

Looked like a good day out, I am proud of you guys for your own sake and from the point of view of being a member of the club.

LOL @ the engine bay transformation - crikey! Also had to laugh at the Fiestas having P plates - its a mandatory Fiesta modification, even here in NSW.

The ricer Focus didn't win Best Focus for one reason, and one reason only (tongue in cheek here) - spent 20 grand but not a single clear side indicator in sight!!!

Also, thanks to all for the photos, I'll put the best of each persons in a club event gallery, with credit to the photographers of course.

Timmeh!

Looks like it was great day out and the weather was good to you all. We also had a problem with dust at the N.S.W. A.F.D that was at Warwick Farm last year! But, still it was a fantastic day out.

Looked like the Shadecover came in handy and Matt, I like your rego plate cover!

A credit to all the members who turned out!

Default Small Ford Sunday 06

Guys just a heads up.
The judges contacted our club to let us know that they forgot to hand out an award. They have sent through the award and now its a club decision who we should give it to.

Here is the award and what it outlines.

Who should it be awarded to?

sweet pics..

hey ozst24...I went to test drive a ST24 on the weekend..I drove from geeong to ringwood and when I got there they wouldn't let me drive it unless I was prepared to put cash on it then and there.

You are not near geelong by any chance? Ive driven the new ST220 and its an awesome bit of kit, I was hoping that the ST24 is kind of like it.

BTW car city is one big pit full of dodgey salesmen!

And now for some pictures of the Euro Ford Club Members:

Id also like to thank Matt for organising the day. Steve for bringing down the sun shades. Ozmondeo for the tough competition (you had the burgandy mondeo truly beat) and the rest of the members for the great day and many laughs.

Yeh its the factory blue. Probably the most popular amoung the Mondeo ST24's.

Sorry to tell you but im in Bundoora (North Melbourne). They are a great car and very reliable. Great amount of torque. I have never driven an ST220 (hopefully I can one day) so I wouldnt be able to compare. But what I do know is that the ST24 is lacking some 45hp. Pm me if you want anymore information.

That Black, Early 90's escort, is that a Genuine RS Cosworth? Or just a standard one with a body kit? Thats awesome that car....

Zetec, Were you involved in ensuring the XR5 came to visit? It sounds absolutely insane.

You guys look like you had a good day.

Cheers from incredibly Hot Qld!

It was genuine, I had a bit of a chat with the owner

EDIT: Here's a link to a higher resolution pic of it: http://static.flickr.com/21/95661374_b4e1cfa343_o.jpg

It was supposed to be, but wasn't because they have a new sponsor and so the car was getting all the new paint and graphics applied to the body, and they can't reveal the new sponsor just yet.

The only hand I had was in drooling over it. Ford offered the XR5 Turbo with much excitement and put on a fantastic show to support the day, much like last year, most of the team came to visit too which was great. Big thanks to the Marketing team for their continuing support of the day, it's absolutely fantastic to see Ford supporting such days. Proud to be a part of it all!!
