All sequential shifters are forwards up the box and backwards down the box.
This is in world touring cars, so let's have no more 'it's the g force' rubbish.

I prefer forwards down the gears and backwards up the gears, Gforce has everything to do with it....why do you think in aircraft you push the stick forward to go down and back to go up? GFORCE... :

Its a sweet system, one thing i've noticed but and maybe i'm tripping, but when in 4th gear on freeway in manual mode and you tramp it, it's doesnt feel like it goes back to 3rd or even 2nd, but it feels like it drops a gear to pick up speed, but it doesnt move from 4th on the dash?

Well mined.

Don't buy the G-Force argument though. You're pulling nowhere near the amount of G's you are in a plane.

It makes sense to me that up shifts up and down shifts down on the stick. Ford have it butt-backwards. (damn filter)

it stays in 4th it just releases the lock up clutch in the convertor
