WOW, i have a front main seal leak, i hope i dont have to go through what you have gone through. I dont have a spare vehicle to get around :-(

My engine is the same as yours VCT in a SII Fairlane :shock:

Mine was a really unlucky case of some moron! doing something dodgy and not fixing it properly.
You need a big puller. Take our rad and thrmo's old balancer isnt a big deal to get off. Replace it.
Getting the seal in can take some time tho. Put a bit of oil on it to lubricate it. Other then that your all right.

Also just watch your puller teeth. Make sure it doesn't brake the TDC marker
