It pays to read the fine print on used car warranties...
Ive seen limitation placed on value of repairs, engines and drivelines excluded except for complete failure i.e piston through block, head gaskets specifically excluded, "normal wear and tear" excluded... the warranty actually covered very little and in may circumstances had a cap set on repair costs...
So all im saying is make sure your complaints are actually covered under the warranty in the first place.

Couldn't agree more. If it isn't covered under factory warranty then it would be best to read the warranty documentation from cover to cover including all the minute fine print to check no exclusions are in place first. Should it be the case, then getting independent validation of the complaint would be the best option forward. As you undoubtedly know 4Vman, many a place have unspoken policies of fobbing off a complaint to avoid paying for something.
