Alanbrx8: Mate thanks for posting up this thread you have opened my eyes to a previously not considered scenario. The good news for me is that I have time on my side the oldest is just 6 and loves his fords ... Every time the V8's are on the telly and Loundesy goes past he says "There's your car Dad!" But there is also the girls to consider currently 3 and the youngest 9 months.

Already switched the missus over from mitsi's

Also a mate and I were just discussing this thread and as he is attending a funeral later in the week the question came up "What brand of vehicle are hearses?" Can anyone enlighten me pls? After all one must continue the worship right to the bitter end

True about the peer pressure thing, but it's what you believe in and know is right.

I've had heaps of Falcons since I was 19 and many girls I met when I had my BA were actually into Commodores but always loved that ride.

Now having an EL, all you get is VR-VT commies trying to drag at the lights, which I just laugh at.

Your problem started years back.

My Boy's first two syllable word was Volvo (near enough to Ford)

At three he decided he liked Jamie Whincup as a driver

At three and a half he told a respected friend with a 'no choice' company commy "We don't like holden's"

He cannot read, but can recognise FORD in almost any font. (also the 'detested' holden logo)

When we are driving he always spots Fords.

He asks why Mummy's car is not a Ford (I tell him Mazda in 30% Ford - I may have to change that line !)

Let him get the VT.

Then refuse to let it be parked in the garage, refuse to give him a lift because he has a holden, refuse to be a passenger in his car as you dont want to be seen.

Then start wearing a ford shirt, ford cap all the time. Then when you walk past him under your breath lightly say holdens are ...

Im sure he'll get the message.

There is only one solution. You let him buy a Holden and then let him get his ar$e handed to him by Falcons.

Chick I know same problem. Her family was true blue but this guy she likes pushed her to buy a Commodore so she ended up with a VT. I now make it my mission to show her how gutless they are. When she tries to overtake I drop back and she is left behind. I line her up and leave her for dead. Do a massive smokey burnout and watch in pity as the Commo fails to spin and just pathetically crouches. Show off the sweet exhaust of the Falcon Six while she has to live with the drony rattletech. As we do a lot of paddock bashing she gets to witness a lot of Commos drop conrods and blow diffs while the Falcons have perfect reliability despite holding a 250Xflow at revs it didn't no it could do :evil3:

Tough Love but now she is in the market for a BA XR8 while all the Commo lovers have changed their tune

Sabotage the car, go out late at night and do things to the car that will make unusually noisey or maybe so it wont start.....nothing dangerous, just things that will open the door for the "I old you so" speech.

EDIT: Also, everynow and again drain a couple of litres of petrol from the tank and then you can give him the "Commodore's have bad fuel economy" spiel.

Last edited by SM1DY; 03-11-2008 at 04:06 PM. Reason: Thought of another funny thing to do to the car

don't they do that on their own?

maybe drain a litre or two of oil every now and then, that'd be funnier
