Why are all these people bidding early

Dont they know how eBay works

You bid at the last second

At this rate it will be $1,000,000,000 at auction end

I bet who-ever buys it puts it on blocks and turns it into a museum piece.
Agreed

I dont think people realise that this is the last Monaro to be EVER!!!!! made meaning its going to be a instant classic in many years to come.

I think in 40 years time it will pull in some huge value, just like when the last of the original Monaros were built.

There was a rumour that the Monaro would return in 2008, not sure how true it is.

Anyway if they do it will be different again.

IT just went from $ 10,000,100 down to $8,000,100

If they did produce another Monaro after selling this one as the "Last Ever Monaro" im sure there will be legal action taken against Holden.

Back down to $262K, I guess the Ebay lads are culling the BS bids.

These corn-shoots who put fake bids in for a charity auction should be sent to Saudi Arabia with an inflamatory cartoon tattooed to their face.

Honestly, you have to go through a credit card verification before you can even bid, why would you go through all that just to gum up the works with a fake bid? Why? FFS!

Great ideal. The current model Monaro is the only one I have really liked. Actually doesn't just look like a commonwhore exec. The twin exhaust at rear, wheels and agressive styling make it a viewing pleasure. Great to see GM donating money to a charity. Surprised that money aint going to bail the head company out of their ever sinking situation though.

Looks nice but after checking out ebay pics nearly barfed when looking at interior. Misses summed it up, those green screens around audio area make interior look like is out of cheap car.

$152,000 is more realistic price. I think people bidding on the car as a Collector, would epect to pay 2 - 3 times more than it's worth retail. Lets hope the bogus bidders go away and leave the genuine ones to bid their own war.

I agree, if you said $ would be too much then that would've made more sense. But if they're giving Monaro's away for $2 a piece, sign me up!

Bloody idiot bidders.

I'm a Ford man through and through, but I'm taking an interest in this auction, just to see how much it's going to go for.

It is a great idea! (a marketing idea) of course its a good cause, like FORD donating money and promoting breast cancer awareness on the V8's last year. Maybe Im cynical but at the end of the day a small production cost maybe 30k? from holden for a car = a sh*t load of publicity and of course all the hype of the "last monaro ever", whatever!!. Its the one thing theyre good at spinning crap.

Denny Mooney has already said that Monaro means too much to Holden to let it die, so whoever buys this expecting to keep it as an investment is going to be a bit ИИИИed off in 4 or 5 years time when they make a new Monaro.
