I hope you agree the PSU should take a haircut like the rest of the million odd who've lost their jobs. $750 per week is quite generous.

People don’t wash their hands full stop. Being on the rd all day, I use public/shopping centre toilets frequently, every single time, there will be someone in the cubicle, flush, walk straight out, often they are wearing the uniform of a food court outlet. Fkn disgusting.

Go to a shopping centre and take a crap and while you're snapping off a log, count all the people who come in and leave without washing their hands

I made myself a portable hand washing system in my zombie van using a 20ltr water container from Bunno's and a few bits and pieces that I had laying around at home.

It even slides in and out...

Unfortunately we are now in the hands of the dumbest 5% of the community, who will keep spreading this around for a much longer time than is necessary.
It is sad that a majority of people are trying to do the right things to minimise the spread and get things back to normal asap.

The results post Stage 1, 2 and 3 have been really good. Lockdown/quarantine/social distancing whatever you want to call it, it is working.

We were on a daily trajectory of 25-30% increase in cases, i.e a doubling every 3-4 days. The latest number is 6.6%. Just have to keep the governance up and people need to co-operate.

IMO, forget the fines just go to the next level and make ABC TV useful. Have the ABC "live stream social distancing compliant public floggings".

This would help motivate the dumbest, and it would probably be a ratings winner.

Why isn't "going for a drive" an acceptable reason for being out?

I just want to get out of the house, I'd be minding my own business, being in the car if best practice social distancing, and for many motoring enthusiasts it is their "stress relief". It doesn't make much sense to me. Alternatively, I'll pack a bunch of shopping bags in the boot and go the long way to Costco a few times a week. If I get pulled over I'm going shopping.

Maybe to prevent things like this happening, young couple were bored with lockdown so were heading out to Piha beach on Sunday. Ended up myself members of my family plus tow truck driver getting involved. Lucky they weren't injured which meant we could keep some distance.

Is it not?

I was pulled over last night for a RBT about 11pm and all good - they asked where i was going.

I said "No idea. Just enjoying the music and a drive to relax".

They laughed and were fine about it! Are other States different?

Got back from round four in Sydney - was there Sunday, Monday and Tuesday this week.

I was in an apartment 54 floors up in CBD overlooking Botany Bay and the Blue Mountains.

Compared to last week where jets were flying in every 15 minutes, I literally this week saw 1 jet coming in each 8 hours, 1 jet out each 8 hours odd. Just freakily quiet.

As a plus- on Tuesday evening sat on the balcony and there was an amazing sunset over the Blue Mountains- I have never seen the Blue Mountains so clearly from Sydney CBD- that rust belt of brown smog that sits over the skyline has lifted....

Because there was so little in pedestrian movement in the Sydney CBD, you see people on the street more. I actually got a little emotional when I saw a girl with dark hair about 18 on the street, and she looked a lot like my youngest daughter.

Then on Tuesday I saw a lady who looked 90 sleeping on cardboard with grey hair, and small bony blackened hand sticking out from the blanket- and she looked a lot like my grandmother who lived to 99.

I had my bodyarmour on as I was in fight mode running a matter, but these pitiful scenes still ripped through me.

Tough times for many and a reminder that I have it good and to quit bitchin...

This excuse won't work, it was worth a shot though...............

From news.com.au:

Lamborghini driver caught allegedly speeding to coronavirus clinic
Natalie Wolfe

A Sydney man has had his licence suspended after police allegedly caught him speeding to a coronavirus clinic.

Just before 7pm on Monday night, police spotted the 35-year-old man allegedly driving his Lamborghini at speeds of up to 160km/h in a 90km/h zone along Sydney's M4.

The man was pulled over in Lidcombe, in Sydney's west, and allegedly told the officer he was on his way to Westmead Hospital to get tested for coronavirus.

The officer, who followed appropriate protocols, fined the man and suspended his licence.

The man then continued to the clinic to be tested before undergoing mandatory self-isolation, NSW Polie said.

Traffic and Highway Patrol Commandeer, Assistant Commissioner Michael Corboy, issued a warning to motorists.

“Drivers shouldn’t break the road rules under any circumstances,” Assistant Commissioner Corboy said.

“Speeding endangers the life of motorists as well as pedestrians.”

“If you think you may have symptoms of COVID-19 and want to seek help from a doctor or hospital, call ahead of time to book an appointment, or visit a NSW Health COVID-19/Flu assessment clinic should you become unwell.”

I said this at the end of March and it is still to sad to be true. Being winter now is not helping.

I used to be pro-socialism when it was about executing the aristocracy and land lords plus releasing the peasants and indentured servants from their bonds.
But I'm not longer a socialist because it became all about saving companies like banks, airlines and gm etc.

Yes i think its going to be a bit hard to explain, not to many food outlets at Piha, i will find out at some stage the towie is a mate, he said they take photos back at the yard to send to insurance, so claim processing can proceed while lockdown is in place.

I got called in to work today and caught up with the boys. Yes adhearing to guidlines. They were saying over the past few days police on pushys have been handing out warnings/fines to those in the streets who are not complying to current distancing rules. Even people in cars with more then 2 people who arent family members. It really is how it is these days.

The USA is being hilariously bad again.
The private hospitals say it's not a good look for staff to wear a mask in public, so they are reprimanding or firing staff.

Some of the main roads in northern Sydney are steadily quietening down. I’ve still only heard of one motorist having their motives interrogated, and I suspect there was prior reason (driving like a **** in a new BMW) for the attention he received.

There are benefits in driving a tradie ute with tradie junk on the passenger floor and a tape measure on the seat... Always working.

Very quiet here. Not that I am on the roads very much. Kind of reminds me of Xmas day with the small amount of traffic. Only difference is that you then don't see the cars congregating together at some houses as you would on Xmas day.

And I noticed a lot more people out walking and riding their bikes yesterday. Yesterday was a beautiful day here (23 degrees) and today is cooler and wet, so maybe people were making the most of the good weather. Don't blame them.

Still amazes me as to how many aren't observing the 1.5m separation requirement. Especially those in the late teens to mid 20s age bracket.

I work a few shifts in the Sydney CBD and have a direct view of Pitt st at street level while on the job.

The place is a bloody ghost town at night after around 6pm when those that have gone to work have left.

Coles still very busy and have adjusted their opening hours but most stores closed with notices on the window and very few people out and about.

Should take a video for future reference.

i think going for a drive , or motorbike should be allowed. i like checking out the southern highlands nsw, exter, bowral etc. by car, its so picturesque. i also like a motr bike ride too. now ,wheres the harm in all that?
i wouldn,t like a copper busting my chops and getting a $1000 fine, in the past i,ve been on the receiving end of uptight ocd cops, and its ridiculous.

i,m lucky , i,m on acreage, however, many aren,t , getting out for a drive goes towards good mental health!

The issue they have with it is thinking people will stop and buy petrol, food etc. And then potentially be exposed to it.
