Covid, considering its been a year and hasnt ****ed off, im of the attitude that no one is completely safe, and if every person takes the recomended precautions, and thats a big statement, it may die off. Issue being, its world wide, not isolated. So probably not happening anytime soon. Even if there is a vaccine, there will be persons who chose against. So its not a race against time, its a waiting game in my opinion untill it goes away. Im not being a negative nancy. But you can recommend people to do things, but that doesnt mean they do it.
sorry dude, missed my point. All meant was they (she) seemed to think that that the nth NSW was almost too cool for masks. spastic comment from her.
as if we are different location to location. I punch people for less.........covid to stay on topic

That's because your immune system is more responsible for the spread of the virus than it is for the prevention of spread. Coughing, sneezing, producing phlegm, etc are all part of the immune response.
Your immune system offers no protection against inoculation of the virus.

Think of it like an airbag. Airbags don't prevent crashes. They reduce the impact of the crash on the driver. You wouldn't rely on your airbags to prevent a crash from occurring. You certainly wouldn't drive on worn tyres or with worn brakes simply because you know you have an airbag to save you...

Geeze.....

Makes you wonder. How many people are on a certain government list for badmouthing the regime?

If they ever travel to China they may get a tap on the shoulder just after clearing customs or one just before they depart...

16 new cases and no deaths for NZ so CMR is 1.166% and active cases 50.

The UK had a new record 41,385 cases yesterday and 357 deaths.

Just over 153k new cases in the USA yesterday and 1,293 deaths sees CMR drop to 1.741% and active cases at 39.6% with the raw numbers rising and now over 7.7M. Note that the USA is actually minus one day due to time differences.

Other notable points - bearing in mind that some countries still haven't reported over the Christmas period:

The Chinese biological laboratory in Wuhan is owned by Glaxo.
Who, by chance, owns Pfizer (the one who produces the vaccine.)
Which, by chance, is managed by Black Rock finances.
Who, by chance, manages the finances of the Open Foundation Company (SOROS FOUNDATION).
Coincidentally, he owns the German company Winterthur.
Who, by chance, built the Chinese laboratory in Wuhan.
Accidentally bought by the German Allianz.
Which, incidentally, has Vanguard as a shareholder.
Which is a shareholder of Black Rock.
Which controls the central banks and manages about ONE THIRD of the global investment capital.
Which, incidentally, is a major shareholder of MICROSOFT the property of BILL GATES, who happens to be a shareholder of PFIZER (which sells the miracle vaccine).

Saw this on RT news (Russian owned), but verified on the IPS site (US operated)

https://ips-dc.org/billionaire-wealt...munity-health/

"As of November 17, the combined wealth of 647 U.S. billionaires increased by almost $960 billion since mid-March, the beginning of the pandemic lockdown — an increase of nearly $1 trillion in less than a year."

THE ANALYSIS
While the post suggests a web of links between pharmaceutical giants involved in COVID-19 vaccine development, investment firms and billionaires Bill Gates and George Soros, the purported conspiracy falls down at the first hurdle.

The post’s claim the “Chinese biological laboratory in Wuhan” is owned by GlaxoSmithKlein (GSK) is not true, nor does the British pharmaceutical firm own US rival Pfizer.

etc. etc.

That new S strain is a bit of a worry, here is the % ratio of the new v's the old in the UK.
I read new cases in the US have been detected in someone that didn't travel, i.e community spread.

Great chart, thanks

I am not convinced hat it shows the newest strain is more virulent. I certainly shows that it is taking over from the old strain. The increase in the latter months could as equally be attributed to the Winter, as the newest strain.

So, CA announces that the 3rd test will be played at the SCG, and within a couple of hours NSW announces 18 new cases with a handful of unknown transmissions. Something smells. Why not announce the numbers before the decision was made, or why not hold off on the decision until the numbers were announced? So yes, you can now go watch the the cricket with thousands of other people in a hotspot, but please "don't yell and don't cheer". This would be comical if it wasn't putting the rest of the country at risk.
