Man that really licks the wang, nothing makes me want to start punching throats more than hearing about a dodgy a$$ 'mechanic' doing a cr@p job on someones car...it gives the rest of us a bad name.

(except thieving motherNNNNers...oooh....oh boy do I hate thieves!!!!)

Just having a look at that altedperformance website...hmm...WOW! they put an AU motor in a EB...retaining the 3 drive belt setup of the EB engine...and the spark plug lead routing is clumsy too.

They also think that pictures of a head gasket being replaced is worthy of 'project' status? If the requirement of a 'project' is to cost obscene amounts of money and take over a year to finish then yeah, for them I suppose a head gasket is a 'project'...

And that poor red/grey 'thing' they have labled as an EB XR6...wtf? It looks like an EBI (which for a start means it can't be an XR) has XR lights which were only available on ED, and possibly EA or EBI fairmont door trims, and who would ditch XR rims for dragways?

Looks like a really reputable and well respected establishment...

his not really "known" outside of ffau fordmods and fastfords
he was a ex mate whom obviously takes you hook line and sinker and rorts ppl to gain profit to do his own little projects with your hard earned cash, only makes me peeved cause me and my family had to go without many luxuries for months whilst waiting on this to be completed only to start again and be broke "again"

altedperformance is more about backyard mechanics because thats exactly what he is

his business cannot be licenced by him in fear his insurance claim on his apparent sore back would haunt him

his working from home without permits or a licence to do so

his claiming centrelink whilst earning the money from workcover and from others whom take their rides to him

EPA/COUNCIL/POLICE/INSURANCE/CENTRELINK all would have a field day with him if they knew.

and i aint the only ride who got his raw deals
3-4 others have similar stories to tell with just as much money poured into their rides only to come up short.

pics of the 18's on the ghia coming later this arvo ;)
cheers

on a side note that nl really had a #### head gasket holy s#it!

UGH What a whinger.

I have had work done in the alted performance workshop and my ride is as cool as ice.

I have never had a problem with Alted Performance and money was paid up front as it should have been in the first place.

What's this about insurance claim? Are you talking about something that was done over a year ago? Alted Performance is a registered company, the comments about the website, yeh I agree but everybody has to start somewhere and everyone makes mistakes along the way. It's only natural.

Regards,

Im sorry sounds more than a basic whinge Simon

Sounds like a shoddy backyarder who needs to be shut down.

Money paid up front, I must admit I learn something new everyday!

It's no longer a backyard business. I should know cause I went to the workshop to get it done and I know the owners quite well. (Queensland/Sydney/Melbourne/Perth Partnerships) but no discounts for me.

I know a whinge when I see one especially if it's the same bloody over and over again in many forums telling the same sob story that happened over a bloody year ago.

Like I said, you have to start somewhere. A lesson learned everyday is a good lesson mate (and yes to buy something outright you gotta have the money upfront that's how ebay works isn't it?)

People have two sides to every sob story too mate but they ain't part of this forum to defend themselves.

Oh: forgot to mention what I had done ...

I had diff gears, head, head work and RPD/Alted Cam.

They did a mighty superb job on the porting I must say!

The Cam I bought that's why I paid upfront and my ride is as sweet as. I'm gunna take it down the 1/4 mile sometime in the next few months too. It's time I raced me car.

You should really listen to people who have had GREAT work done, not listen to the negatives.

How much were those 5 spoke 17'/18' mags worth and do they fit the e-series stud pattern?

hahahaha nar mate ... long time reader first time writer standing up for the small fry like any mate would do for their friends I'm sure you'd do the same if you had a mate do work for you and some person started whinging and carrying on about the shabby work that they did on their car? That's what mates do dun they?

Nothing else interests me in this forum. There ain't no place to talk to anyone regarding me ride. So why not start talking in this one aye?

Only thing fishy is the smell between me womans legs mate LOL!

want facts and proof i have them all

altedperformance asked me and many others to put the business in his name thats fact
why? cause he has a rort going with the insurance company over his back
centrelink because his claiming sick benfits whilst working on cars
EPA because his polluted half his yard
council because he hasnt got approval to use his parents as his own workshop nor was it licenced
want me to go on?

who do i have to back me up
about 4 others whom have pics of the rort *link to fastfords* and take a peak.

anyone care to see my receipts from the bank deposited to alteds account then come look at the motor and work he did to my ride then tell me im lying.

im not hear to defame him he done that himself
not only was it my mistake getting this guy to work on my car but also to tell my mates about him and get them trapped by this guy

his business in sydney is run by others as is melbourne and so forth all done through mates from FM (we know the site ppl's)

i could defame him more but im here trying to talk about my woes with my ride

Paying up front for work done? Never really heard of that before....parts maybe, but for labour, anywhere I have been its a case of "We work on your car, then you pay us. If you don't pay us, we keep your car"

Fair enough if he asks for a deposit or for you to pay parts prices as he buys them, but pay for everything up front? That would put me off straight away.

Grrrrrrrr....what a scumbag.

Well I dunno mate ... something screwy went on or something but I had my car done and it's going great guns. If you get your car up and running again sometime maybe we can take it down the 1/4 mile and see how you go.

mate my mechanic and i have a account
i sometimes pay him up front and i sometimes pay him off

alted wanted a continued flow of funds cause his exact words were 3 weeks and it'll be done hence why i pushed the money so quick, yes my mistake but if he didnt have the parts he shouldnt of spent my money?
should of refunded it but instead he bodged stuff up and covered up his tracks
wasnt until i was told about a few mechanical bits that i went right over the car and found what i did.

being 2 and abit hours apart and having to talk mainly through msn and mobiles it was hard cause we werent on at the exact time all the time,i have pics and videos from him showing my car with a certain zorst setup then when i pick it up its all different etc
so yeah what could i do but trust a guy i thought i could trust.
