Just look out of another e-series ford on the next cruise. Who knows what you may find. I'm not going into detail, but i have experienced on other cruises stuff that have been stolen from amtes cars, on one at the cruise. It's frightening to just think they may be the one who ravaged your car.

Teleported???? There is this big boat that travels to tassie and can, believe it or not, take cars over as well! Wouldn't arrouse the owners suspicion as much over there than here, and may have a better chance of selling it.

I know it was a long shot, but anything is worth doing when you loose your pride and joy. But yeah, no reason to think outside the box, because things are always found again, arent they?

BTW, glad your car is back Max. I assume there will be a insurance claim, given the amount of replacement parts? Good Luck.

The upside to this is that you have newfound incentive to fit 18s

Great news (in a way) regarding getting your car back mate, I'm glad to hear it's not gone forever.

Hey Karl, how would that work anyway, don't they have chips in the key to disable smartlock?
As long as the key gets turned without damaging the mechinisim at the bottom which is what sends the code to the module the car will start. But 99.9% of the time the lock will be damaged when being forced, so no code from the switch = no start.

The rims, amp, sub, auto shifter, tail lights (wtf?!) and spoiler brake light (doubly wtf ?!) were taken...ignition barrel was forced along with driver's side door lock - understandable that the tibbe locks can be forced and opened - we all know how sensitive they are...but to start the car without the key - I'm a bit amazed at that part. Some minor damage to front end (headlights, bonnet / bar).

It doesn't look like the car was taken for a joyride or anything - no rubber on the rear guards etc. To me (IMO) it seems they saw the rims and just wanted them...the rest of the bits taken were bits that were easily removable ie shifter, tail lights, amp / sub.

I think Max may have taken some pics to post up.

Just a lucky thing that it was found ~12 hours later and not torched / vandalised...sounds like parts on Max's car were on someone's shopping list :(

lets hope a small insurance excess will cover and replace everything.

I know max wanted his car back, a replacement just isnt the same.

Very good news to hear you got your car back not totally stripped or torched. Good luck with getting it back on the road.
